About Us
Hillwood Stud was founded in 1972. The facilities have been upgraded considerably since Charlie and Tracy Vigors took over the lease in August 2005. There are now 56 stables separated into five separate units and spread over two farms as well as 130 acres of paddocks that are well protected by trees and hedges for shelter.
The stud now boasts some of the finest facilities available including a 2.5 furlong railed circular all weather gallop, two covered Claydon horse walkers and a Polytrack Lunge ring.

Masawer Alum
Alum joined Hillwood in December 2009 as a Groom having previously worked for Jamie Railton.

Bonnie Carter Brennan
Bonnie has been at Hillwood since May 2008 and is the Accounts and Payroll Secretary. She previously held similar positions for Charles Egerton and Oliver Sherwood.

Vicky Hagger
Vicky arrived in February 2011 having previously worked for Brendan Powell and Tom George. She works on the yard in the morning, exercise rides and does the yard office work in the afternoon.

Ben McCartney
Ben came over from Australia in June 2011 and works as a Groom having had similar experience on the race track in Australia.

Gary Oliver
Gary joined in May 2011 as an Exercise Rider and Groom. A former Apprentice Jockey he specialises in Breaking In and riding away the yearlings.

Danielle Saunders
Danielle joined Hillwood as a groom in January 2012. She has gained considerable experience in her native New Zealand and freelancing sales in Engalnd.
